Political Activism

We’re committed to harnessing the collective voting strength of young people for positive change. HCYD helps to energize, educate, and turn out young voters through political action. While we are involved in traditional political activities such as block walking, phone banking, and voter registration drives, we are also connecting with young voters through new and social media, informal social gatherings and innovative marketing strategies. We are also involved in supporting and publicizing issues important to our membership including pushing for the repeal of DADT and urging action on comprehensive immigration reform.
